The Band

Jasper Dick is a young singer/songwriter based in Cape Town (South Africa) who loves to create original, emotional songs in a wide variety of styles. Folk, Rock, Pop and Blues styles are all featured in his original material.

Jasper also enjoys playing covers, where his tastes are equally varied: (John Lennon, Bob Dylan, Muddy Waters, Radiohead and Tracy Chapman are some of his favourites).

Jasper only started performing in public with his well-received debut at the Barleycorn Music Club in April 2009. Since then he has played at the Zeekoevlei Festival, the "Up The Creek" Festival and the Annual Barleycorn Music Festival, as well as numerous gigs at venues throughout Cape Town. He has also been interviewed on UCT Radio, Bush Radio and Fine Music Radio.

Jasper is also a Masters student in Chemical Engineering, a surfer, an occasional rock-climber, and (when he's lucky enough to find snow) a snowboarder!
